Information on Packaging

We meticulously pack each product with a lot of love and care for the environment and for the product itself. We do not use any plastic and strive to choose sustainable options for all layers of the packaging.
Step 1: We use banana paper instead of industrially produced paper. Banana paper is made from the the waste stems and trunks of banana trees. This handmade paper helps reduce the agricultural waste that reaches the landfills. Banana paper does not require any chemicals during production therefore making it a better and long-lasting alternative to conventional paper.
Step 2: Each product is then carefully placed in a hand stitched reusable jute bag. Jute fibre is 100% bio-degradable and recyclable and thus environmentally friendly.
Step 3: The information card placed in each box is printed on handmade seed paper. The paper can be planted and the seeds germinate to sprout Tulsi plants. Planting seed paper is incredibly simple.
  1. Soak the paper in shallow water in a tea saucer for 24-48  hours, keeping it wet all the time.
  2. FIll good fertile soil in a Coco Pot or Clay Pot, fill it right to the top. Gently pack the soil, so it's slightly compressed, but not too hard-packed.  Place the seed paper on top, and add another thin layer of soil on top of the paper (about one-eighth of an inch).
  3. By now your Seed paper will start to germinate in 4-6 weeks time depending on the Seed and Climate Conditions.

Step 4: This carefully wrapped product is placed in a biodegradable cardboard box with no additional printing. This box can be reused or easily disposed off very easily. Since it is made of paper it automatically breaks down in nature.

Step 5:  Keeping in line with our promise to choose better, we use paper tape to seal the package safely before shipping it to you!
