Roti, Kapda aur Makaan

Hemp also serves as the definitive answer to the three basic human needs, i.e. Roti - Kapda - Makaan: For which most humans spend their lives working. Hemp can be used to make more than 50,000 products today. Here are some examples of how hemp provides us with Roti, Kapda and Makaan.

Hemp as a Source of Nourishment (Roti)

From seed to husk, Hemp can be used to prepare an array of items flour, oil, butter, protein powder and even BEER! Hemp oil is right in Amino acids, while hemp seed meal is an excellent source of protein. Hemp kernels can be used to produce non-dairy milk and cheese.

Hemp fibers can be used to create a breathable fabric. The fibers are one of the most durable and high resistance ones out there. This fabric can be blended with other organic fibers to match your ends. An anti-bacterial and breathable fabric, Hemp becomes more malleable and soft with every wash! It can be used to make bedsheets to bibs to bath towels. Apart from these, hemp also filters out 97% UV rays and has thermal and insulation properties making it an all-weather fabric!

Hemp makes for an ideal wood substitute and can also be used to create Hempcrete (a bio-composite made of the inner woody core of the hemp plant mixed with a lime-based binder). Houses made from hempcrete and planks are waterproof, durable, insulated and create less construction sourced pollution.

Therefore, while hemp may be unknown to many of us today, it is the future. Our Future.
