According to CPCB, nearly 40 % of India’s 3.4 million tonnes of plastic packaging waste arises from gifting, e-commerce and FMCG sectors. Pravaah eliminates this category entirely through natural fibre, paper and brass-based packaging.

TERI’s 2024 brief found that decorative wraps and ribbons rank among India’s top ten short-life plastics, generating ~1.2 kg waste per person during festivals. Pravaah replaces these entirely with handmade, reusable materials.

Soy Wax Candles
Each candle is mindfully created to ensure that all the elements are can go back to nature. From the unglazed terracotta pots to the reusable pure muslin cloth packaging, we have evolved and elevated our product. Despite its breakable nature, we do not use any bubble wrap or synthetic fillers instead we opt of discrded newspapers and honey comb paper.

Paraffin vs Soy Wax
Paraffin wax, first used in the 1850s for candle making, is derived from petroleum through oil refining. Though affordable and efficient, it releases carbon dioxide and soot when burned, contributing to indoor air pollution and reliance on fossil fuels.
Soy wax, developed in the 1990s as a natural alternative to paraffin, is made from hydrogenated soybean oil. Renewable and biodegradable, it burns cleaner and longer, producing less soot and carbon emissions, making it a more sustainable choice for candles and home fragrances.

Vegetable wax candles (soy, rapeseed) demonstrate 30–50% lower carbon footprint per kg of wax compared to paraffin when assessed from production through combustion.
